Welcome to the website of the Ebbingekwartier.

The Ebbingekwartier is a creative quarter just near the centre of Groningen in which many shops, cultural organisations and creative entrepeneurs are located. Due to its central location and industrial history this area has started to develop as the creative zone of Groningen.

In addition to this many projects related to creative enterpreneurship are currently in devolopment in the Ebbingekwartier amongst which:

City on the Roof (a second surface level on top of the roofs)
De laatste pijp (turning the last pipe in the area to a piece of interactive art)
Public events organised by Station CS
Fablab (laboratorium which offers 3d printing technique)
Het Paleis (cultural centre with offices, studios, appartments and artist in residence rooms)
Mobiele Tuinen (mobile gardens realized throughout the Ebbingekwartier)
Northern Region Embassies (embassies with enable cultural exchanges between northern areas)
Open Lab (a temporary micro city at the heart of the city for five years)
PUB (organisation which coaches starting (student) entrepeneurs and develops tool boxes)
Follies and parasytes (to be attached to buildings in the public area)
Science Store (store in which scientific developments are showed to the public by students on intern ship)
Walk of art (An itinerary passing public poetry on the street)
